Eric Mcelvenny deployed three times as a Marine, and in Afghanistan on his final tour, was wounded after stepping on an IED. He suffered the amputation of his right leg below the knee. Faced with a physical challenge and an uncertain future, he made a promise to himself to run an Ironman Triathlon.
On his journey from the hospital bed in southern California to the finish line in Kona, Hawaii, he realized the challenge and adversity he was up against and the techniques he used to reach the finish line can be used against the challenges we all entertain. Eric’s experience, combined with his Christian faith, makes for a multi-dimensional and truly remarkable story.

Since its founding in 1979, Sprout has provided a year-round travel program of vacations as well as a year-round program of day and evening cultural, social and art-related activities in New York City for people with developmental disabilities. Since 1995, Sprout has run an annual weekend-long music, film and arts festival for an average of 225 people with developmental disabilities complete with live bands, video screenings, interactive art projects, carnival games, and other entertainment.

We understand that this news may be disappointing for many of our attendees who were looking forward to his show. The National Comedy Center looks forward to rescheduling Jeff Ross’ performance for a future festival.

Nicole Byer will perform Thurs, Aug 1 and is one of the most versatile and recognizable voices in the comedy landscape today, acclaimed for her Netflix specials Big Beautiful Weirdo and Comedians of the World and as the host of Netflix’s Emmy-nominated reality-competition baking series Nailed It! Byer starred in NBC’s Grand Crew and was a fan favorite on MTV’s hit series Girl Code. Her past work includes the Above Average web series Pursuit of Sexiness, which she co-created and starred in alongside Sasheer Zamata, and the scripted comedy series Loosely Exactly Nicole. Her network television and feature work includes Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Lady Dynamite, Party Over Here, BoJack Horseman and 30 Rock. She regularly hosts the popular podcasts, Why Won’t You Date Me, and What the Tuck?

This event is designed for Lucy and Desi fans and history-buffs alike! Located inside the historic Reg Lenna Center for the Arts (called The Palace in 1956), the event ticket includes a venue tour, exclusive access to archival materials from the 1956 visit, a photo-op on the same stage where Lucy and Desi stood to debut the film, and a ticket to a special screening of Forever, Darling inside the theatre’s grand auditorium.

The Femmes of Rock show is a high-energy rock production fronted by four female violinists/vocalists. On Christmas Eve, divorced dad Scott Calvin and his son discover Santa Claus has fallen off their roof. When Scott takes the reins of the magical sleigh, he finds he is now the new Santa, and must convince a world of disbelievers, including himself.
The Assembly is a Jazz/Pop/Fusion sextet based in Jamestown and comprising of Roger Chagnon (Percussion), Kyle Gustafson (Guitar, Flugelhorn), Drew Minton (Piano), Lena Morano (Vocals), Chris Tiberio (Bass), and Chris Wakefield. The group has performed at various venues and events across Jamestown, playing a wide variety of popular music and jazz standards, as well as original compositions.

St. Vith is an eclectic indie rock band based in the Finger Lakes region in New York, featuring Jamestown-native Oliver Burdo along with Kyle Ingersol, Quintin Olix, and Jordan Seager. Borrowing from a range of influences including Wilco, Radiohead and more traditional artists like B.B. King and Bob Dylan, the band's sound is a mural of psychedelic jam, art rock and time honored American styles.
